Stickers make the [toddler] world go round!

Image
On our flight to Oooooooklahooooma and the Littles are being a total dream. They spoil us, I tell ya! Stickers have proven to be a magical toddler remedy to boredom. Thank goodness their Tia Lisi brought them a slew of them a couple of weeks ago and it occurred to us to bring them in this trip. I also ordered thousands  of stickers to deliver directly to the Grands' home in Oklahoma just in case we ran out. (Not kidding. Not even just a little bit) These Littles are making me feel like a freaking super hero at times. I love my life.  Blurry pic, but still makes me smile.

What's Happening, Hot Stuff?

Goodness, it's only been like 6 months. Had to break through the weeds and cobwebs to log back in here and post. So, I want to keep track of some of the happenings here and move forward doing a little light tracking here and there. Little summary of past 6 months: Sold previous home and moved into new one here in Swinger-Ville. (no white rocks around our mailbox so we should be ok) Put kiddos in new daycare (after them having been home with us during the days for about 3 months) and they love it.  Still hoping for a job to come through for Cowboy (I'm going to come back to this list with more items. my brain hurts trying to remember it all) As for the kiddos, Joaquin is just now (at 22 months) starting to have a verbal explosion. For a few months, the only words he had were: Gacias (he can't quite get the r in there) All Done Mama Papa Dad I want / I wannit No down up hi bye Amo Now, he's adding in: 'is broken water  ouch dog pac...

Daddy's Gal

I was told I was not allowed to do Izzy's hair this morning. She specifically wanted a braid and wanted her Daddy to do it. "No Mama, you not do my hair. Daddy has to do it. I want a trenza". (trenza is braid in spanish) Daddy was unable to fulfill her request, not for a lack of trying. She finally gave in and let me do her hair. We need an end to this teething hell we're in. Our ear drums will burst with all the screeching that is happening in our house. burst.

PTSD Thursday!

A friend is about a month (probably less) away from having her baby and man, I get twitchy just remembering that post partum that hit me like a battle canon. Luckily, many women can get through post-partum unscathed (albeit, tired as crap) so I need to remember that before I start cringing when I see very pregnant chickies. I do miss the actual part of being pregnant. Feeling the babies moving inside me. Shoving organs aside at their whim to find their sweet spot of coziness inside you. It's nuts! The life cycle is amazing! The whole process of growing another human being inside you is awesome! Now, because Wocka Wocka has suffered so much in his first year and few months of life, I am confident in our decision to not have any more little people. Ever. Never ever ever. We done. Ship has sailed. Izzy's had her moments but she never cried nearly as much as Wocka has. In his defense, he's had brutal reflux, his teething is a slow, gory process in his particular bone structur...

Drive by posting

=1/2A^2 has made a lovely suggestion of posting more randoms on the blog to keep it alive and light for me. I'm hoping to enjoy blogging again and taking the pressure of recapping full life updates off the table here. Life is too nutty to keep full updates going here. Moving in about a month and a half to 2 months. Don't know where. :) It'll take care of itself. Izzy's quotes as of late which are ever so amusing to me: "You love me? Awww, thank you Mommy! You're so nice to me." o_o "Woooooo Doggy, It's cold out here! Where are my mittens?!?!" Yesterday morning, she came to wake us up with Dostoyevsky's 'Notes from the Underground' book that she wanted us to start off the day reading. Oh honey, can't we just read an excerpt from The Hunger Games or something more my reading style? ((sigh)) Joaquin needs to curb his screeching when he needs something, else I may fall into that habit and just point to wine gla...
